Myanmar Earthquake Response
A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar and Thailand on 28 March, followed minutes later by a 6.4 aftershock. With over 3,500 lives lost, thousands injured, and widespread devastation.
Samaritan’s Purse is responding in Jesus’ Name. Our Field Hospital in Myanmar has treated more than 2,500 patients and performed over 200 surgeries in Naypyidaw, the nation’s capital, since it opened April 8.
Emergency relief kits provided by Samaritan’s Purse include two blankets, a solar-powered light, a household water filtration system, a jerry can, tarp for temporary shelter, and a hygiene kit with toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and other essentials. We’ve also deployed six water filtration systems that together can provide up to 20,000 people with 11 litres of clean water each day. Four of the systems are already operational.
Your support will help bring hope and relief to those suffering.
