Restore Rochester

Over one year on following the worst flood on record, hundreds of families are still unable to return to their homes, awaiting repairs or insurance payouts to repair flood damage. The mental and emotional strain of displacement has left many families with little hope. In January 2024, this town has been impacted again by flooding.

Samaritan’s Purse Australian Disaster Relief teams are continuing to help residents Rochester rebuild their community. Working through partnerships with the council and local churches. We have provided teams of tradies and other volunteers to help get people back into their homes, and assist again when flooding impacts.
