Noah’s ark accommodated “every beast after its kind” (Genesis 7:14), which presumably included buzzing bees! Honeybees turned out to be a special blessing for the Yazidis—a people group in northern Iraq, who believe the ark landed on their Mount Sinjar. Indeed, bees in these hills produce some of the world’s finest honey. Samaritan’s Purse has provided more than a thousand beehives to Yazidi families in Jesus’ Name, and we also have similar projects in Africa. Some have used income to put roofs on their houses, pay school fees, and build a village church. For just $20 per family, we can provide a hive, equipment, and training.
