Help Earthquake Survivors in Venezuela

Samaritan’s Purse is mobilising to respond at the epicentre

Two devastating earthquakes struck Venezuela on Wednesday evening, causing widespread destruction in Caracas and beyond. Buildings have collapsed, hospitals are overwhelmed, and thousands of families are now without homes. The stronger 7.5-magnitude tremor was the most powerful to hit the country in more than a century.

Samaritan’s Purse is responding to the hardest-hit areas. Our Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) is flying to Venezuela to assess urgent medical, water, sanitation, and hygiene needs. An airlift containing our Emergency Field Hospital is expected to depart on Saturday, 27 June.

Your gift today will help mobilise Samaritan’s Purse DART members, including those from Australia and New Zealand, to provide emergency care, relief supplies, and the hope of Christ to families in crisis.

We invite you to join us in prayer for those who have lost loved ones and for the thousands suffering after this tragedy. “For He will deliver the needy when he cries, the poor also, and him who has no helper” (Psalm 72:12).
